FIRST BLOOD Movie Script 9x12 in. USA - 1974 - Ted Kotcheff, Sylvester Stallone

Important Info: This script is the revised 3rd draft from February 20, 1974 and written by Walter Newman. It belonged to an intern who worked at Warner Bros. in 1974. The great story about this script is  this version of the movie had been written for Steve McQueen for the part of the sheriff - who, at this point was a somewhat sympathetic character - but that McQueen turned it down. So the script had then been rewritten because Brian Dennehy was given the role of the sheriff, and Stallone wanted him to be more of a villain than he was in the first version !
